Johan Liu is a full professor and head of Bio Nano Systems Laboratory, Department of Microtechnology and Nanoscience in Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden as well as a special recruited professor at Shanghai University and Chang Jiang Scholar in microelectronics packaging and production. His special field is nanomaterials and processes for electronics, microsystem and biomedical applications with a strong focus on thermal management and bio-scaffolding areas. As a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences and fellow of IEEE with a Hirsch index of 20 and citation index of over 1300 times, he has published over 400 papers in journals, proceedings and book chapters, he has 30 patents accepted or filed and has given about 40 key note/invited talks during the last 25 years. Jie Sun received Ph.D. degree from Solid State Physics, Lund University, Sweden. His major is semiconductors, particularly, in low-dimensional structure growth and nanodevice fabrication/characterization. He specialized in GaAs-, InP-, and Si-based semiconductors, and in oxide-based dielectrics (SiO2, Al2O3, and HfO2). He has published over 60 articles with a H-index 10. He is the first author or corresponding author of 23 papers that are published in journals covered by scientific citation index, such as IEEE Electron Device Letters, Applied Physics Letters, etc. Currently, he is with Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden, as an Assistant Professor. Tang Luping is professor and leader of Building Materials at Chalmers University of Technology. He has over twenty years’ experience in the field of electrochemical applications in construction materials. He developed the RCM (Rapid Chloride Migration) test that has been adopted as a standard test in many countries including Nordic (NT Build 492), Switzerland (SIA 262/1), USA (AASHTO TP 64) and China (GB/T 50082). He also developed a rapid technique for corrosion measurement. Currently, his group is studying chloride threshold for reinforcement corrosion in concrete (as Chairman of the international technical committee RILEM TC 235 CTC), concrete composites with modern engineered textiles, the longevity of cementitious materials for storage of nuclear waste, and covercrete with hybrid functions for prevention of concrete structures from surface cracking and reinforcement corrosion. Jian Yang received Ph.D. degree from the Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenberg, Sweden, in 2001. From 1985 to 1996, he was with the Nanjing Research Institute of Electronics Technology, Nanjing, China, as a Senior Engineer. During 2005 and 2006, he was with COMHAT AB, Sweden, as a Senior Engineer. He is now an Associate Professor at Chalmers, IEEE senior member. He has published about 40 articles in journals, about 100 conference papers with H index of 13. He has 3 patents accepted or filed. Huan Zhao received her PhD degrees from Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Science, Beijing, China in 2008 and Chalmers University of Technology, Göteborg, Sweden in 2009, respectively.
Her PhD thesis work is titled ‘Growth and fabrication of 1.3-1.55 µm GaInNAs(Sb)/GaAs quantum well lasers’. Her current research involves molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) growth of semiconductor heterostructure for high speed high frequency applications, terahertz sources and detectors, terahertz monolithic integrated circuits. She is one of experts for evaluating EU-FET-open proposals and referee for evaluating EU-FET on-going projects. She has published more than 40 journal and conference papers since 2005.

Ergang Wang received his PhD degree in Materials Science from South China University of Technology, China, under the supervision of Prof. Yong Cao in 2008. He has been a postdoc in the group of Prof. Mats Andersson at Chalmers, from 2008 to 2011. He was appointed as an Assistant Professor at Chalmers from 2012. At present his main focus is on synthesis of new conjugated polymers/small molecules for bulk heterojunction organic solar cells. Shumin Wang is a Professor at Department of Microtechnology and Nanoscience, Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden. He received PhD from Department of Physics, Gothenburg University, Sweden, in 1994 and has been then working at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden. He was selected as One Thousands Talents by the Chinese government in February 2012, and also as guest professor in several universities and institutes in China. He has edited 1 book, written 4 book chapters, published over 130 international journal papers with a total citation of 1140 and an H-index of 20, presented 130 international conference papers including 20 invited talks and held 3 patents. Fang Liu received her PhD degree in Material Science in 2008 at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden. Her current research interests are high temperature steels with a specific emphasis on their creep and oxidation properties. She has scientific expertise on different microstructural characterization techniques, like scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and related analytical techniques, and atom probe tomography (APT), as well as advanced sample preparation technique in the combined focused ion beam (FIB) and SEM system. Jinghai Zheng received his doctoral degree from University of Gothenburg in 1997. He is Associate Professor at the Department of Economics, Gothenburg University, Sweden. His main field of research is economic growth and applied productivity analysis on China.

Since 2000, Dr Zheng has taken up various visiting positions at different universities, including Cambridge University, London School of Economics, Peking University and Tsinghua University. He also holds a position as Guest Research Fellow at the Center for China Studies, Tsinghua University. He was visiting professor at the School of Economics, Zhejiang University in China, where he taught a Ph.D course in productivity, economic growth and innovation during 2008-2010.

Dr Zheng was the President of the Chinese Economic Association (UK) during 2009/2010 and the founding President of the newly established Chinese Economic Association (Europe), i.e., CEA (Europe) in 2009/2010. Dr Zheng was also the organizer of the Inaugural CEA (Europe) and the 20th CEA (UK) Annual Conference, Dublin, July 23-24, 2009. He was the guest-editor of two special issues on Chinese productivity for the Journal of Chinese Economic and Business Studies (JCEBS) in 2008 and 2011, and the organizer of the international workshops on Chinese productivity for 2007, 2008, and 2012.
